To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar is a 1995 American comedy film directed by Beeban Kidron. The movie begins in New York City, where three drag queens, Vida Boheme (played by Patrick Swayze), Noxeema Jackson (played by Wesley Snipes), and Chi-Chi Rodriguez (played by John Leguizamo), become close friends while preparing for the Miss Drag Queen America pageant.

After Vida wins the pageant, the three friends decide to embark on a road trip to Hollywood. They dress extravagantly and drive in their beloved Cadillac convertible. However, their journey takes an unexpected turn when their car breaks down in the small, conservative town of Snydersville, somewhere in the Midwest.

As they wait for the necessary car parts to fix their Cadillac, the trio finds themselves stuck in Snydersville for an entire weekend. At first, they face resistance and intolerance from the local homophobic rednecks, led by the town's sheriff, Dollard (played by Chris Penn). The townspeople are unfamiliar with individuals who express themselves through unconventional gender identities and appearances.

Vida, Noxeema, and Chi-Chi find themselves challenged and need to adapt to their new surroundings. However, they don't let this deter them from being their fabulous selves. Determined to spread their messages of self-acceptance and unity, the drag queens set out to make a positive impact on the town and its residents.

One of their first encounters is with Carol Ann (played by Stockard Channing), a battered housewife trapped in an abusive relationship. The drag queens decide to help Carol Ann by teaching her how to regain her confidence and stand up for herself. Slowly but surely, the trio begins to break down the barriers of prejudice and judgment within the community.

Throughout the weekend, Vida, Noxeema, and Chi-Chi touch the lives of various townspeople, helping them find their true selves, overcome their biases, and embrace their uniqueness. They encourage individuality and self-expression, raising awareness about the importance of acceptance and understanding.

As the car parts finally arrive, the drag queens bid farewell to Snydersville, leaving behind a town that has been forever changed by their presence. In turn, they also learn valuable lessons about friendship, love, and the power of unity.

To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar is a heartwarming comedy that explores themes of tolerance, compassion, and the celebration of individuality.
