Comedy   United States of America

Brantley Foster, portrayed by Michael J. Fox, arrives in New York City with big dreams of making it in the corporate world. Determined and ambitious, Brantley quickly learns that finding a job is extremely challenging, especially for someone without connections or experience.

Through a stroke of luck, Brantley's uncle, Howard Prescott (played by Richard Jordan), offers him a low-level position in the mailroom of his massive corporation, Pemrose Corporation. While grateful for the opportunity, Brantley believes he is capable of much more and decides to take matters into his own hands.

During his time in the mailroom, Brantley observes the inner workings of the company and becomes acquainted with the dynamics between executives and the corporate ladder. One day, he stumbles upon an empty executive office and seizes the opportunity to temporarily take on the persona of an executive, Carlton Whitfield, who is out of office.

Brantley starts impersonating Carlton and begins climbing the corporate ladder, using his quick wit, intelligence, and resourcefulness to excel in his new role. He develops an alter ego, creating a fake identity as Carlton, and becomes well-known and respected throughout the company. As Carlton, Brantley starts implementing innovative ideas, making significant business decisions, and gaining attention from the company's higher-ups, including the CEO.

As Brantley's professional life takes off, his personal life also becomes more complicated. He begins dating Christy Wills, a beautiful and ambitious company executive, played by Helen Slater. However, unbeknownst to Brantley, Christy is actually the mistress of his uncle, Howard Prescott.

Throughout the film, Brantley faces numerous challenges, including keeping up his façade, balancing his personal life, and navigating the cutthroat corporate world. As his success continues to grow, Brantley must confront the consequences of his actions and decide where his priorities lie.

"The Secret of My Success" is a charming and comedic tale of ambition, determination, and the lengths one is willing to go to achieve their dreams. Brantley's journey ultimately forces him to question the true nature of success and happiness, teaching him invaluable life lessons along the way.
