In the movie Animal House, Dean Vernon Wormer, the strict and uptight dean of Faber College, becomes determined to expel the rowdy and unruly members of the Delta Tau Chi Fraternity, commonly known as the Deltas. The Deltas, led by their charismatic president, "Bluto" Blutarsky, are known for their wild, party-loving ways and constant pranks.
To achieve his goal of shutting down the fraternity, Dean Wormer enlists the services of Omega Theta Pi, a rival fraternity on campus. He instructs them to find any means necessary to discredit and expel the Deltas. Meanwhile, the Deltas continue their hedonistic lifestyle, throwing legendary parties and creating chaos wherever they go.
As the tension between the administration and the fraternity escalates, the Deltas face not only disciplinary action but also personal dilemmas. Larry "Pinto" Kroger, a freshman member of Delta House, starts a relationship with a smart and attractive fellow student named Clorette DePasto. Through this relationship, Pinto begins to question his allegiance to the fraternity.
To add to the chaos, the Deltas invite all the other misfit students on campus to a toga party, transforming it into a chaotic and wildly popular event. This further infuriates the administration and Dean Wormer, who is determined to destroy the Deltas and regain control of the campus.
In a last-ditch effort to save their fraternity, the Deltas devise a plan to disrupt a homecoming parade organized by the administration. Donning guerrilla warfare tactics, the Deltas turn the parade into a hilarious mayhem, causing widespread chaos and destruction.
However, as the film reaches its climax, the Deltas' rambunctious behavior finally catches up with them. Dean Wormer successfully expels the entire fraternity, punishing them for their antics and rebellion. Nevertheless, the Deltas remain unapologetic, refusing to accept defeat.
