In the movie "Under the Rainbow," set in World War II era Los Angeles, the manager of the iconic Culver Hotel, Edmund Abernathy, decides to take a weekend off and leaves his inept and overeager nephew, Louie, in charge. However, things quickly spiral out of control when Louie decides to rename the hotel as the Hotel Rainbow and unknowingly overbooks without Edmund's knowledge.

The chaos begins when various groups of eccentric and colorful characters arrive at the hotel, each with their own hidden agendas and secrets. Among the guests are royalty from Europe, cunning assassins, mysterious secret agents, Japanese tourists, and even a group of munchkins who are in town for a film shoot.

As the hotel becomes a hub of international intrigue, two individuals find themselves unexpectedly caught up in the madness. Bruce Thorpe, a Secret Service agent working undercover to investigate suspected spies, and Annie Clark, a determined casting director who wants to find the next big talent among the munchkins.
