Hider in the House is a psychological thriller that follows the disturbing story of Tom Sykes, a mentally unstable man who seeks refuge in the attic of a recently sold house. With a deep-seated desire for a family life he never had, Tom becomes consumed by the presence of the unsuspecting occupants.

As the family settles into their new home, unaware of Tom's presence, he starts methodically observing their daily routines and becomes increasingly fixated on the wife and mother, Julie Dreyer. With each passing day, Tom's obsession grows stronger, pushing him to invade their personal lives further.

Tom begins manipulating the house, subtly rearranging objects, causing slight disturbances, and inflicting moments of doubt and fear onto the family members. He strategically creates an eerie atmosphere, planting the seeds of distrust among them. His actions become bolder, as he gradually starts to tamper with their relationships, friendships, and ultimately their sanity.

Julie begins feeling an unshakeable presence and becomes overwhelmed by an unexplained fear that permeates their once peaceful home. She confides in her husband Phil, who struggles to believe her claims, attributing them to stress or adjustment issues after the move. However, as the incidents escalate, the couple soon realizes that their lives are in danger and they must uncover the truth behind their newfound haunting.

Determined to protect his family, Phil delves deeper into the mysterious occurrences. Suspicions escalate as he begins to uncover clues that point to a hidden figure lurking within their house. Simultaneously, Tom becomes more volatile and dangerous in his pursuit of creating the family he envisions.

The film reaches its climax as Phil confronts Tom in a harrowing showdown within the attic, revealing the true extent of Tom's obsession. With the help of Julie and their children, they fight to survive the menacing grasp of the man who has invaded their lives.

Hider in the House explores the boundaries of obsession, delusion, and the terrifying consequences of unchecked mental instability. It takes viewers on a suspenseful journey, blurring the lines between reality and hallucination, leaving a lingering sense of unease and fear long after the credits roll.
