In the movie "Black Death," set in medieval Europe during the outbreak of the bubonic plague, a fearsome knight named Ulric is tasked by the church to investigate rumors of a village immune to the deadly disease. Accompanied by a group of soldiers and a young monk named Osmund, they embark on a treacherous journey filled with dangers and uncertainty.

As they travel through plague-ravaged lands, encountering death and devastation, the group faces numerous challenges. They come across desperate and paranoid villagers who resort to extreme measures to protect themselves from the plague. Along the way, they also encounter ruthless bandits and encounter the horrors inflicted upon the land by the disease.

As the knight and his companions approach the rumored immune village, they become increasingly skeptical and wary. These doubts are further deepened when they witness the consequences of an encounter with a suspected necromancer, a woman named Langiva, who is believed to possess dark powers. The villagers fear her, as they believe she can raise the dead and control dark forces.

Upon their arrival in the village, the group is met with suspicion, hostility, and secrecy. The villagers, initially resistant to the outsiders' presence, eventually allow Ulric and his companions to witness their seemingly unaffected lives. Their leader, the enigmatic Langiva, claims they have found a way to ward off the plague and are indeed immune. The village appears to thrive amidst the chaos of the outside world.

However, the true horrors of the village soon unravel. Ulric, Osmund, and the soldiers discover that the villagers' immunity is not due to any mystical powers but because they practice a form of Paganism. They engage in sinister rituals, including human sacrifices, to appease their ancient gods, and anyone opposing their practices is brutally punished.

As the investigating group faces grave danger and moral conflicts, they struggle to survive in the midst of a society consumed by darkness and madness. Tensions rise, loyalties are tested, and an intense battle for survival ensues. They must confront their deepest fears and make difficult choices while navigating the horrors that await them in the plague-infested village.

In this dark and chilling tale, "Black Death" explores themes of faith, survival, and humanity's capacity for evil, ultimately delving into the stark contrast between the horrors of the plague and the even darker depths of human depravity.
