Andy Dufresne, the protagonist of "The Shawshank Redemption," is wrongly accused and convicted of the murder of his wife and her lover. He decides to take matters into his own hands and begins secretly tunneling his way out of Shawshank, using rock hammer he had acquired over the years.
Over a period of several years, Andy manages to dig a tunnel behind a movie poster in his cell.
