The movie "My Name Is Khan" revolves around the life of Rizwan Khan, portrayed by actor Shah Rukh Khan. Rizwan is a man with Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism that affects his social interactions and communication skills. Despite this, Rizwan is a highly intelligent and kind-hearted individual.

Rizwan lives in the Borivali section of Mumbai with his overprotective mother, played by Zarina Wahab. After his mother's death, Rizwan's brother, played by Jimmy Shergill, urges him to move to the United States and live with him in San Francisco.

In San Francisco, Rizwan works as a salesman for a beauty products company, and eventually, he meets and falls in love with a Hindu single mother named Mandira, played by Kajol. They soon get married and lead a happy life together, blending their unique cultural backgrounds.

However, tragedy strikes when the tragic events of 9/11 occur. Following the terrorist attacks, the Muslim community in America faces heightened prejudice, xenophobia, and discrimination. Rizwan, due to his Muslim name and his condition, becomes a victim of racial profiling and is wrongfully detained at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) by authorities who suspect him as a potential terrorist.

While detained, Rizwan's condition complicates matters as he struggles to communicate with the authorities, making them further suspicious. After his release, Rizwan becomes determined to meet the President of the United States and clear his name, believing that if the President meets him, he will understand that not all Muslims are terrorists.

With this mission in mind, Rizwan embarks on a journey across America, facing and overcoming various challenges and obstacles while spreading his message of love, unity, and acceptance. As he travels, Rizwan encounters diverse individuals and communities, fostering understanding and challenging prejudices wherever he goes.

Throughout his journey, Rizwan's unwavering sincerity and genuine heart touch the lives of those he meets, earning him the support of countless well-wishers. His acts of compassion and bravery even bring him media attention, making him a symbol of hope for marginalized communities.

As Rizwan continues his mission, he faces personal tragedies and heartbreak, making his journey even more challenging. However, his resilience and determination never waver. Eventually, Rizwan reaches a turning point when he manages to meet the President, portrayed by Christopher B. Duncan, who commends him for his strength and courage.

In the final moments of the film, Rizwan reunites with Mandira and their son, who had distanced themselves from him due to the hardships they faced. Together, they rebuild their lives, showcasing the power of love, forgiveness, and acceptance.

The film, directed by Karan Johar and produced by Gauri Khan, combines the themes of romance, social issues, and personal growth, underscored by Rizwan's unwavering determination to find justice and understanding in a world filled with prejudice.
