Roshan, an NRI (Non-Resident Indian), arrives in Old Delhi with his ailing grandmother, Jalebi, to take care of her. The movie takes place in the "6th" area of Delhi, hence the title "Delhi-6."

As Roshan settles into his ancestral home, he begins to reconnect with his roots and rediscovers his own identity. He immerses himself in the vibrant culture and lively streets of Old Delhi, which are filled with diverse individuals and rich traditions.

However, as the story progresses, an unexpected religious dispute unfolds in the once harmonious neighborhood. The dispute originates between the Hindu and Muslim communities, revolving around an age-old temple and mosque situated within close proximity to each other.
