Jong-du, mentally impaired and socially awkward, struggles to find his place in society.

Knowing that the victim's family wants nothing to do with him, Jong-du decides to visit the widow, Gong-ju Han. However, he is shocked to discover that she is living in a dilapidated apartment with her daughter, Gong-joo, who has severe cerebral palsy and spends her life confined to a wheelchair.

Despite these challenging circumstances, Jong-du is drawn to Gong-joo and feels a deep emotional connection with her. Gong-joo, who is often neglected and isolated, is also intrigued by Jong-du's presence, seeing him as someone who treats her with genuine kindness and respect.

As their relationship develops, Jong-du and Gong-joo find solace in each other's company. Sharing heartfelt moments and transcending their individual limitations, they bring warmth, joy, and hope into each other's lives. However, their unique bond becomes a source of controversy within their families and society at large.

Facing prejudice, misunderstandings, and a world unaccepting of their unconventional love, Jong-du and Gong-joo fight against all odds to sustain their relationship. Their journey is one of immense sacrifice, resilience, and the power of connection.

It challenges societal norms and prejudices, questioning what it means to truly connect with another human being. Ultimately, it paints a poignant and heart-wrenching portrait of two lost souls who find comfort and meaning in their shared existence, inspiring others to reconsider their perceptions of love and human worth.
