As Howard Langston embarks on his quest to find the elusive Turbo Man action figure, he encounters numerous obstacles and colorful characters. Determined to fulfill his son's Christmas wish, Howard navigates through the chaos of holiday shopping, encountering rival fathers, thieves, and even a reindeer named Ted.

At the local department store, Howard discovers that the shelves have been cleared of Turbo Man figures. Desperately seeking assistance, he befriends Myron, a mailman who is on a similar quest for his son. The two form an unlikely partnership and set out to locate the coveted toy.

Their journey takes them to toy stores, street corners, and even a warehouse where shady characters sell black market toys. Howard's determination grows stronger as he witnesses how much the Turbo Man action figure means to his son. In his pursuit, he becomes more and more entangled in outrageous and comedic situations.

Meanwhile, Howard's wife, Liz, grows frustrated with his absence and begins to doubt his sincerity and commitment as a father. As the clock ticks closer to Christmas, Howard's marriage is put to the test, and he must prove that he can be the father his son deserves.

Amidst the chaotic search, Howard crosses paths with a mysterious radio host named Myra, who promises a Turbo Man figure to listeners of her show. Determined to win, Howard competes in a series of challenges that push him to his limits. With his determination and resourcefulness, he unexpectedly bests Myron and secures a Turbo Man figure.

Finally, on Christmas Day, Howard rushes back home with the long-awaited action figure in hand. Reunited with his family, he apologizes to his son and presents him with the Turbo Man toy, bringing joy and happiness to their household. The movie concludes with Howard realizing that being present for his family and showing love and support are the true gifts that matter most during the holiday season.
