In Cold Sweat, the film follows Joe Moran, a former soldier who is falsely convicted of assaulting a colonel during the Korean War. He is imprisoned in Germany, where he unexpectedly crosses paths with his former company commander, Captain Ross. However, instead of being incarcerated for his war crimes, Ross is serving time for engaging in the black market.
While in prison, Ross develops plans to escape with the help of his fellow inmates, including Joe. Hoping to secure his freedom, Joe reluctantly agrees to join their escape plan.
