Comedy   Australia

The two old timers, Vince and Ralph, are longtime friends and neighbors who are struggling financially. When they hear about a new law that allows same-sex couples to receive tax breaks, they see an opportunity to save money. They decide to pretend to be a loving gay couple in order to take advantage of the benefits.

At first, Vince and Ralph struggle to convincingly pass as a gay couple. They have to navigate awkward moments like going on dates together and sharing a bed. Despite their discomfort, they are determined to see the scheme through and reap the financial rewards.

As they continue to pretend, Vince and Ralph begin to bond and grow closer. They start to genuinely care for each other and develop a new appreciation for their friendship. However, their charade becomes increasingly difficult to maintain, especially when their nosy neighbors and the local community become suspicious of their relationship.

As tensions rise and their secret threatens to be exposed, Vince and Ralph must find a way to keep up the appearance of being a loving gay couple. Along the way, they discover unexpected truths about themselves and the power of acceptance and love. Ultimately, they come to realize that their friendship is worth more than any tax break.
