In the movie Son of God, the story begins with the humble birth of Jesus in Bethlehem to Mary, a young virgin betrothed to Joseph. As Jesus grows, it becomes evident that he possesses extraordinary wisdom and compassion. He attracts a group of disciples who become his closest followers.
