In "24: Redemption," the movie begins in Sangala, a fictional African country embroiled in political turmoil and unrest. Former federal agent Jack Bauer (played by Kiefer Sutherland) is living as a schoolteacher and missionary in Sangala, trying to leave his past as a government operative behind.

However, Jack's peaceful existence is disrupted when he becomes aware of a coup orchestrated by a ruthless African dictator, General Benjamin Juma (played by Tony Todd). Juma plans to overthrow the current government and establish a totalitarian regime.

As the coup unfolds, Juma's forces brutally capture and recruit innocent children from the region to form "The Boy Soldiers," his own personal army. These children are subjected to brainwashing and malicious military training, transforming them into Juma's loyal soldiers.

Unable to stand idly by, Jack Bauer embarks on a mission to rescue the children and ensure their safety. Determined to protect them from Juma's clutches, Jack must utilize his unique set of skills and experience as a former federal agent.

As the coup intensifies, Jack faces numerous obstacles and dangerous encounters. He is torn between his responsibility to protect the children and his loyalty to the government he once served. With time running out, Jack fights against the clock to outsmart Juma and his ruthless militia.

Throughout the movie, "24: Redemption" also explores Jack's personal redemption and the inner turmoil he grapples with. Haunted by his past actions, he seeks to find redemption and make amends for the mistakes he has made.

The plot in "24: Redemption" serves as a bridge between the events of the TV series "24" and its seventh season. It sets the stage for the subsequent intense and action-packed season, in which Jack Bauer once again finds himself embroiled in a high-stakes battle against terrorism and corruption.
