In the movie Skyscraper, the protagonist, Will Ford, is a former FBI hostage rescue team leader who lost his leg in a failed mission. Now working as a security consultant, he is hired to assess the safety systems of the world's tallest building, known as "The Pearl," located in Hong Kong. Will moves into the residential section of the building, where his wife, Sarah, and their two children are staying.
One seemingly ordinary evening, a group of terrorists led by a criminal mastermind named Kores Botha sets the building on fire, aiming to retrieve a valuable computer flash drive hidden within a penthouse. As chaos ensues, Will finds himself being framed for the devastating fire, forcing him to go on the run not only from the terrorists but also from the authorities who believe he is responsible.
