Harold's cab company, D.C. Cab, is struggling to stay afloat in the competitive taxi business. The cabbies working for Harold are a motley crew, each with their own quirks and unique personalities. They include characters such as Dell, a smooth-talking ladies' man; Tyrone, a talented street musician and aspiring actor; and Mr. T, a tough and no-nonsense driver.
Enter Albert, a charismatic and ambitious young man who arrives in town with a dream of starting his own cab company. Recognizing the potential in D.C. Cab's drivers, Albert tries to inspire them to take control of their lives and achieve something meaningful. However, Harold's employees are initially resistant to change and skeptical of Albert's goals.
To prove that he is serious about his plan, Albert puts his own money on the line and starts making upgrades and improvements to D.C. Cab. Slowly, the cabbies begin to see the positive changes the company is going through and slowly start to believe in Albert's vision.
However, a rival cab company, led by the ruthless and envious Del George, feels threatened by D.C. Cab's resurgence. In an attempt to sabotage Albert's efforts, Del and his cronies devise a plan to kidnap him. The cabbies are confronted with a difficult decision - whether to save Albert and risk their own safety or abandon him to protect themselves.
Realizing that their loyalty lies with Albert and the future they have started to build, the cabbies come together to rescue him. Through their courage and determination, they manage to foil Del's plans and free Albert.
With their bond strengthened by the ordeal, the cabbies, along with Albert, return to D.C. Cab and continue to build it into a successful and thriving business. They prove that with determination, unity, and a little bit of heart, even a hapless group of cabbies can achieve greatness and make something out of their lives.
