In the movie Bring Me Home, the story follows a desperate mother named Jung-yeon, who has been searching tirelessly for her missing son for the past six years. Her son, named Yoon-su, is a disabled and non-verbal child who vanished without a trace one day.
Haunted by the guilt of losing her son, Jung-yeon never gave up hope and continued her relentless search, distributing flyers, visiting homeless shelters, and tirelessly knocking on doors for any potential leads. Despite the lack of progress in her search, she remains determined to locate her son and bring him back home.
One day, while working as a cashier in a small convenience store, Jung-yeon is approached by an unusual customer who seems to recognize her. The customer, named Man-sik, claims to have information about her missing son. However, he demands a substantial amount of money in exchange for the information.
Desperate for any leads, Jung-yeon agrees to pay Man-sik and begins a dangerous journey with him to uncover the truth behind her son's disappearance. As they dig deeper into the underworld of human trafficking and child exploitation, Jung-yeon discovers the horrifying realities faced by vulnerable children like her son.
Facing numerous obstacles and encountering dangerous individuals along the way, Jung-yeon's determination only grows stronger as she uncovers a twisted network of criminals profiting from the abduction and sale of children. Even as she puts her own life at risk, she remains resolute in her pursuit of justice and the reunion with her son.
Throughout the film, Bring Me Home explores themes of resilience, the lengths a mother will go to protect her child, and the dark side of society that exploits the vulnerable.
