Jab Tak Hai Jaan is a Hindi romantic drama film directed by Yash Chopra. The movie revolves around Samar Anand (played by Shah Rukh Khan), a bomb disposal expert for the Indian Army, who becomes bitter and lonely after a tragic incident in his past.

The film is divided into two timelines. In the present day, Samar is living in London and works as a part-time singer in a local restaurant. He has developed a reputation as the "Man Who Cannot Die," as he fearlessly defuses bombs without any regard for his own life. However, Samar carries the burden of a deep-rooted sorrow from his past and vows to never fall in love again.

As the story unfolds, it shifts to the past, when Samar was stationed in the region of Kashmir. Here, he meets Meera Thapar (played by Katrina Kaif), a beautiful and wealthy young woman engaged to marry someone else. Despite their initial differences, Samar and Meera gradually fall in love as they spend time together. However, due to the complexities of their situation, they part ways, and Samar is left heartbroken.

Back in the present day, Samar meets Akira Rai (played by Anushka Sharma), a spirited and ambitious young journalist. Akira becomes fascinated by Samar's story and is determined to uncover the reason behind his bitterness and detachment from love. Through her persistent efforts, she manages to break through Samar's walls and eventually falls in love with him.

However, destiny has other plans when the past catches up with Samar and threatens to tear apart his newfound happiness. The movie takes a twist when Samar is faced with a life-threatening situation, and his past mistakes come back to haunt him. The story culminates in a dramatic climax, where Samar must confront his own past to protect the people he loves.

In this journey of love, sacrifice, and redemption, Jab Tak Hai Jaan explores the power of forgiveness, the resilience of the human spirit, and the ability to overcome past hardships to find true love.
