In "An American Tail: Fievel Goes West," Fievel Mousekewitz and his family, including his sister Tanya, their parents Mama and Papa, and their faithful dog, Tiger, continue to face constant threats from cats despite settling in America. Desperate to find a safe and peaceful place to live, the Mousekewitz's become intrigued by the stories of a mouse utopia in the Wild West.

Cat R. Waul, a cunning and manipulative feline, happens to be overhearing Fievel's family's troubles. Realizing an opportunity to carry out his own plan, he poses as a kind-hearted friend and convinces the Mousekewitz family that there is no cat threat in the western frontier. Persuaded by Cat R. Waul's promises of safety and happiness, the Mousekewitz's decide to venture westward in search of a better life.

Upon their arrival in the Wild West, Fievel soon discovers that Cat R. Waul's intention is to turn the mice into "mouseburgers" and sell them to unsuspecting humans. Fievel, determined to stop Cat R. Waul and save his family, seeks help from an old friend, the reluctant Tiger, who has been living as an outcast in the West.

Together, Fievel, Tiger, and a courageous group of new friends, including a lovely mouse named Miss Kitty and a Native American mouse named Chief Wulisso, devise a plan to outsmart Cat R. Waul and his gang of cats. As they face numerous challenges and obstacles, including a treacherous train heist and a dangerous showdown in a ghost town, Fievel must find the courage within himself to save his family and the entire mouse population of the Wild West.

In this thrilling adventure, Fievel and his friends learn the importance of unity, bravery, and the enduring power of family bonds. Through their determination and resourcefulness, they prove that mice and cats can indeed live together peacefully, making the Wild West a safe home for mice like them.
