Family   Canada

After Corrine's parents' divorce, she finds herself struggling to adapt to her new life. Her mother, Laura, has remarried and Corrine now has a stepfather, Mark, and two stepsiblings, Ethan and Lily. Everyone in her blended family seems to have already adjusted to their new roles, which makes Corrine feel left out and isolated.

Feeling lost and searching for her purpose, Corrine stumbles upon a local animal shelter. There, she meets a rambunctious and mischievous puppy named Max. Instantly drawn to each other, Corrine decides to take Max home, hoping that training him will give her a newfound sense of purpose and responsibility.

However, Corrine soon discovers that training Max is not as easy as she initially thought. Max is full of energy, constantly getting into mischief, and Corrine struggles with obedience training. Frustrated but determined, she seeks help from a local dog trainer named Alex.

Through her interactions with Alex, Corrine not only learns training techniques but also begins to understand the importance of patience, consistency, and communication. With Alex's guidance, she realizes that training Max is a reflection of her own personal growth and development.

As Corrine continues to work with Max, she also begins to open up about her feelings regarding her parents' divorce. Through journaling and talking with her new friend, Chloe, Corrine starts to process her emotions and navigate her way through the complexities of her blended family dynamics.

Meanwhile, Corrine's relationship with Max deepens, and she starts participating in local dog competitions. With each competition, Corrine gains more confidence in herself and her ability to handle challenging situations both on and off the field.

Ultimately, Corrine's journey with Max becomes a symbol of her own resilience and adaptation. Through their shared experiences, Corrine not only trains a rambunctious puppy but also discovers her own strength and purpose in her blended family. By the end of the movie, Corrine not only finds her place in her new family but also comes to understand that her worth and value are not defined by her parents' divorce.
