In the movie Dragon Inn, set during the Ming Dynasty in China, the power-hungry eunuch Cao Ying sends a group of assassins to chase down the children of the emperor's recently executed minister of defense. The eunuch's assassins track the minister's children, a young brother and sister, to the remote Dragon Inn located on the northern Chinese border. At the inn, the children find themselves trapped and vulnerable, with no one to protect them from the imminent danger.
