As the summer progresses, tensions from the uncomfortable past between Haruko and Tomoyo begin to resurface, causing strain on their relationship. Both women are forced to confront the ghosts of their shared history, which involves a betrayal and a deep-seated regret.

Meanwhile, Riku, Haruko's son, develops a close friendship with Yuko, Tomoyo's daughter. They spend their days exploring the city, discovering shared interests in art and music. As their bond deepens, Riku, oblivious to the strained relationship between their mothers, becomes a mediator, trying to bridge the gap between Haruko and Tomoyo.
