In the movie Casino, Sam "Ace" Rothstein, played by Robert De Niro, is an expert gambler and handicapper who is chosen by the mafia to run the Tangiers Casino in Las Vegas. Ace is tasked with making the casino profitable while remaining discreet about the mafia's involvement.

Ace's strategies for running the casino are highly successful, and the Tangiers becomes a booming establishment. However, problems arise when Ace's childhood friend, Nicky Santoro (Joe Pesci), arrives in Las Vegas. Nicky is a violent and unpredictable enforcer, causing tension within the casino staff and attracting unwanted attention from law enforcement.

Amidst the success and chaos, Ace falls in love with Ginger McKenna (Sharon Stone), a former prostitute and con-artist.
