In the movie "Forty Guns," the authoritarian rancher, Jessica Drummond, runs Cochise County in Arizona with her posse of hired guns. She is a powerful and ruthless woman who controls the county through fear and violence. However, her world is turned upside down when a new Marshal, Griff Bonnell, arrives in town with his two brothers, Wes and Chico.

Marshal Bonnell is known for his non-violent approach to law enforcement, relying on his skills of negotiation and persuasion. As he begins to clean up the lawless town, he clashes with Jessica Drummond and her gang of Forty Guns, a group of unruly cowboys.
