In the medieval kingdom of Aquila, Captain Etienne Navarre and Lady Isabeau d'Anjou fall deeply in love despite their social differences. However, their happiness is short-lived when they are discovered by the corrupt Bishop of Aquila, who desires Isabeau for himself.

Outraged by their love, the Bishop places a curse on the couple, causing them to be separated by their animal forms. Navarre transforms into a wolf at night, while Isabeau turns into a hawk during the day, forever preventing them from being together.

Desperate to break the curse and reunite with his beloved, Navarre seeks the help of a skilled thief named Philippe Gaston, also known as "Mouse." Philippe finds himself entangled in their plight when he accidentally stumbles upon the couple's secret and is drafted into their mission.

Together, Navarre, Isabeau (in hawk form during the day), and Philippe embark on a perilous journey to overthrow the despotic Bishop. Along the way, they face numerous challenges, including evading the Bishop's ruthless guards, battling dangerous enemies, and navigating treacherous landscapes.

As they progress, the bond between the three characters strengthens, with Philippe falling in love with Isabeau and understanding the depth of their curse. With Philippe's cunning and Navarre's skill in combat, they gradually outsmart their foes and gain allies within the kingdom's oppressed citizens.

While bringing hope and inspiration to the people, they learn that to break the curse, Navarre and Isabeau must confront the Bishop on the night of an upcoming solar eclipse. The eclipse presents a rare opportunity for the lovers to be together in their human forms, but it also poses a significant risk if they fail.

In a thrilling climax, the trio faces a final confrontation with the Bishop and his forces. With courage, determination, and the help of their newfound allies, they manage to overpower the Bishop and break the curse just as the eclipse takes place. Navarre and Isabeau are finally reunited in their human forms, marking the end of their long torment.

In the aftermath, the kingdom of Aquila is freed from the Bishop's oppressive rule, and the people rejoice in their newfound freedom. Navarre and Isabeau, now free to love openly, embrace their future together while Philippe, though heartbroken, finds solace in the knowledge that he played a crucial role in their triumph.
