In the movie "At the Earth's Core," Dr. Abner Perry, an eccentric and brilliant inventor, has developed a massive burrowing machine called the Iron Mole. Along with his adventurous and wealthy friend, David Innes, they embark on an expedition to test the machine's capabilities by delving into unknown depths beneath the Earth's surface.
As the Iron Mole dives deeper into the Earth, it unexpectedly speeds up and goes out of control. Unable to stop it, Dr. Perry and David find themselves hurtling through the Earth's crust, eventually arriving in a mysterious underground world called Pellucidar. Pellucidar is a land located at the core of the Earth, lit by a perpetual twilight caused by a unique mixture of natural gases.
Finding themselves in this strange and dangerous world, Dr. Perry and David discover that it is inhabited by a variety of unusual creatures. The first threat they encounter are the Mahars, a species of intelligent, telepathic pterosaur-like reptiles who rule over ignorant human-like creatures known as the Sagoths. The Mahars keep the Sagoths as slaves and use them to do their bidding.
As Dr. Perry and David explore further, they also encounter other creatures and threats within Pellucidar. They come across giant lizards with bird-like heads, known as Grymps, who are hostile and attack them. Additionally, they encounter man-eating plants that trap and consume unsuspecting prey.
The pair soon realizes that they must find a way to resist and escape the tyranny of the Mahars and their savage minions. With the help of a rebellious local girl named Dia, they join a group of human rebels fighting against the creatures of Pellucidar. Together, they plan a daring rescue mission to free the enslaved Sagoths and overthrow the Mahars' oppressive regime.
