In the movie Luz: The Flower of Evil, the isolated community is known as a "Family" and is led by an influential preacher called El Señor (The Lord). The Family is deeply rooted in religious beliefs and lives cut off from the outside world, residing in a secluded mountainous area.
The presumed new Messiah referred to in the synopsis is an enigmatic young girl named Luz.
