As their community begins to flourish, the Kwimper family catches the attention of a glamorous Beverly Hills socialite, who is passing through the area. She becomes enamored with Pop Kwimper's charming personality and the family's unique way of life. Seeing the potential for exploiting their story for her own gain, she convinces Pop to allow her to promote his small community as a tourist attraction.

However, the situation soon escalates when greedy businessmen and corrupt politicians become interested in profiting from the Kwimper family's land.
