In the movie Con Air, Cameron Poe, a former U.S. Army Ranger, is convicted for involuntary manslaughter while defending his pregnant wife from a group of intoxicated men. After serving his prison sentence, Poe is finally granted parole and is excited to be reunited with his wife and daughter.
However, his plans take a turn when he finds himself aboard a maximum-security prison transport aircraft, also known as "Con Air," which carries the most dangerous criminals in the country to a new penitentiary. Unbeknownst to Poe, the plane has been hijacked by Cyrus "The Virus" Grissom, a cunning and sadistic criminal mastermind.
While the authorities believe that Poe is just an innocent passenger, he realizes that he must take action to save the innocent people on board, including a female guard that he has become close with, Tricia. As the authorities outside the plane scramble to figure out how to regain control, Poe uses his military skills to outwit and confront the various criminals holding the plane hostage.
Throughout the ordeal, Poe's main focus remains reuniting with his family, but he must first ensure the safety of everyone on board. This leads to intense action sequences, fights, and a series of deadly confrontations between Poe, Grissom, and the other dangerous convicts.
