In Jurassic World, Isla Nublar has been transformed into a successful and fully operational dinosaur theme park, fulfilling John Hammond's original dream. The park, Jurassic World, is owned and managed by the Masrani Global Corporation.
The story revolves around two main characters: Claire Dearing, the park operations manager, and Owen Grady, a Velociraptor expert and trainer. Claire is portrayed as a driven and dedicated corporate executive, responsible for ensuring the park's success and financial viability. Owen is a former military man, with extensive knowledge and understanding of the raptors' behavior.
The park boasts various attractions, including a Mosasaurus feeding show, a gentle herbivore petting zoo called The Gentle Giants, and the Indominus rex, a newly created and genetically modified dinosaur designed to boost visitor interest. However, as the park starts facing declining interest, the park's geneticists, led by Dr. Henry Wu, create the Indominus rex, a highly intelligent and fearsome hybrid dinosaur.
The Indominus rex quickly proves to be much more dangerous and unpredictable than anticipated. It manages to escape its enclosure, wreaking havoc and terrorizing both park visitors and other dinosaurs. In an attempt to regain control, Claire seeks Owen's help to track down and neutralize the Indominus rex.
As they venture into the restricted areas of the park, they realize that the head of InGen's security operations, Vic Hoskins, has more nefarious plans. Hoskins sees the escaped dinosaur as a military weapon and believes it can be controlled. He convinces Owen that the raptors, trained by Owen himself, could assist them in tracking and subduing the Indominus rex.
Owen reluctantly agrees, leading a team alongside the raptors to confront the Indominus rex. However, it becomes clear that the creature's intelligence outmatches their expectations, and it manipulates the raptors, turning them against Owen and his team. The situation escalates into a full-scale dinosaur rampage as the Indominus rex leads the other dinosaurs in an assault on the park's main hub, putting thousands of lives at risk.
Claire, Owen, and a group of survivors simultaneously face the Indominus rex's attacks while trying to evacuate the island before the corporation decides to send bombers to eradicate all the dinosaurs. In the final battle, a Velociraptor named Blue, which Owen managed to establish a bond with, teams up with Owen to fight the Indominus rex.
With the combined efforts of Blue, Owen, and the park staff, they manage to kill the Indominus rex, but not without severe damage to the park. Ultimately, the surviving dinosaurs are left free to roam the island as nature intended.
