Led by the ruthless but conflicted Man Singh, the gang consists of rebellious members like Vakil Singh, Lakhna, and others who are constantly on the run from the law.

Amidst this chaos, Indumati Tomar, a woman from the village, seeks help from the dacoits to protect her from being raped by the upper-caste men in her community. This encounter leads the dacoits to reevaluate their actions and motives. They uncover the deep-rooted caste discrimination and oppression prevalent in society, which shapes their identities and decisions.

As the story unfolds, the dacoits find their loyalties tested and their actions questioned as they face inner conflicts and dilemmas. They begin to question the violence and destruction they have unleashed upon others and wrestle with the burden of their own conscience.

The movie delves into complex themes of societal disparity, redemption, and the search for personal salvation. It explores the concept of rebellion against an unjust system and the moral ambiguity that arises when resorting to violent means for change.

Facing the relentless pursuit of a police officer named Virender Gujjar, the dacoits navigate treacherous terrains and face numerous obstacles. The chase intensifies as the police gradually close in on capturing the members of the gang.

"Sonchiriya" portrays a grim and gritty reality of a lawless world, highlighting the nuances of the dacoits' lives and the circumstances that led them to embrace a path of crime. It also sheds light on the plight of women in a deeply patriarchal society and their resilience in the face of adversity.

As the movie reaches its climax, the dacoits' fates are decided in a final and violent confrontation. The outcome not only determines their own destinies but also reflects a larger narrative of societal change and the possibility of redemption.

Through its intense storytelling and compelling characters, "Sonchiriya" presents a thought-provoking examination of morality, justice, and the inherent struggle for freedom and dignity in a world divided by caste, class, and gender.
