In the movie "Hidden Agenda," American lawyer Ingrid Jessner decides to travel to Ireland to investigate the human rights abuses committed by the British government during the period known as the "Troubles." She is determined to uncover the truth and bring justice to those affected by the atrocities.

Upon her arrival, Jessner meets Paul Sullivan, an Irish activist who becomes her partner in the investigation. Together, they delve deep into the evidence, uncovering disturbing secrets and unearthing testimonies from victims of brutality. As they get closer to exposing the truth, their efforts become increasingly dangerous, drawing the attention of powerful forces who want to keep the truth hidden.

However, tragedy strikes when Sullivan is assassinated on the streets during their investigation, leaving Jessner devastated and determined to seek justice for her fallen comrade. In her pursuit of the truth, she crosses paths with Peter Kerrigan, a British investigator who disagrees with the actions of his own government and believes in uncovering the truth.

Working against the will of his government and against the disapproval of his superiors, Kerrigan joins forces with Jessner. Together, they discover a deep-rooted conspiracy that not only implicates the British government but also reveals a shocking revelation that one of Kerrigan's colleagues may be involved.

As Jessner and Kerrigan dig deeper, they face countless obstacles, including threats, intimidation, and attempts on their lives. They become immersed in a cat-and-mouse game, constantly evading those who want to silence them and prevent the truth from being exposed. Along the way, they must confront their own limitations and fight against the odds to bring justice to the victims and shed light on the hidden agenda behind the government's actions.

With their lives at stake and the truth hanging in the balance, Jessner and Kerrigan race against time to expose the conspiracy, bring those responsible to justice, and ensure that the rights of the Northern Irish people are recognized and protected.
