While pinned down by Black Cloud and his warriors, the soldiers devise a daring plan. They decide to send a young Indian boy, who was once held captive by Black Cloud, on a dangerous mission to reach the fort and bring back reinforcements. The soldiers hope that this brave act will not only save them but also provide an opportunity to negotiate with Black Cloud, as they learn that he and his warriors are suffering from a severe lack of water themselves.
