As Clay Lomax tries to navigate his life outside of prison, he becomes determined to seek revenge on Sam Foley, the man who betrayed him. Foley, aware of Lomax's release, hires three men to keep a close eye on Lomax's every move, deepening the tension between them.

Meanwhile, Lomax receives a shocking piece of news - his ex-lover has passed away. However, amidst the mourning, he discovers that he has a 7-year-old daughter, who is sometimes incredibly annoying. Though initially unsure of his ability to be a father, Lomax begins to bond with the young girl, finding unexpected joy in their relationship.
