In the movie "Green Zone," Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller, played by Matt Damon, leads a team of Army inspectors during the U.S.-led occupation of Baghdad in 2003. Their primary objective is to locate and secure weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) believed to be stockpiled in the Iraqi desert.

However, as Miller and his team conduct their operations, they repeatedly come up empty-handed, finding no evidence of the suspected WMDs. Frustrated with the lack of progress and increasingly skeptical about the intelligence they have been given, Miller begins to suspect that there might be a larger conspiracy at play.

Miller's suspicions lead him to a CIA agent named Martin Brown, played by Brendan Gleeson, who believes that the intelligence about WMDs was false or exaggerated. Together they set out to uncover the truth behind the Iraqi weapons program and the reasons why the U.S. military was misled.

As Miller digs deeper, he discovers a complex web of corruption and deceit involving high-ranking officials. He learns that a small group of government insiders had manipulated the intelligence to justify the invasion of Iraq and advance their own political and financial interests.

Facing continuous obstacles and threats from those who want to keep the truth hidden, Miller becomes determined to expose the cover-up and bring those responsible to justice. With the help of an Iraqi informant named Freddy, played by Khalid Abdalla, Miller faces dangerous situations, including confrontations with insurgents, as he gathers evidence to expose the truth.

In a climactic showdown, Miller confronts the orchestrator of the conspiracy, an influential figure named Clark Poundstone, portrayed by Greg Kinnear. Miller exposes Poundstone's involvement in falsifying the intelligence and manipulating the military operations in Iraq.

Ultimately, "Green Zone" raises questions about the legitimacy of the U.S. military intervention in Iraq and addresses the controversial issue of the intelligence failure regarding WMDs. The movie explores themes of government accountability, the manipulation of information for political gain, and the consequences of war.
