In the film "Henry's Crime," the aimless man referred to is Henry Torne, played by Keanu Reeves. Henry works as a toll booth operator in Buffalo, New York, with no direction or purpose in life. One day, he stumbles upon a bank robbery while making his nightly commute through a tunnel. Unexpectedly, he finds himself caught up in the heist and ends up taking the blame for a crime he didn't commit.

Henry is subsequently sentenced to prison and spends years behind bars, where he meets Max Saltzman, portrayed by James Caan, an older inmate with a passion for theater. Max tells Henry about his plan to rob a nearby theater, which is connected to a bank vault by a tunnel, and he urges Henry to fulfill his own destiny by participating in the heist.

Upon his release, Henry comes up with a plan. He reconnects with a woman named Julie Ivanova, played by Vera Farmiga, who owns a vintage theater called The Palace. He convinces Julie to stage a play as a cover for the robbery. The play they choose to perform is Shakespeare's "The Cherry Orchard."

As Henry begins rehearsing for the play, he also starts working on digging the tunnel that will lead to the bank vault. The stolen money becomes the means to fund the production and ensure its success. Along the way, Henry discovers a genuine passion for acting and finds solace in the theater.

As the plan unfolds, Henry, Julie, and Max face numerous challenges. From dealing with troublesome actors to unforeseen circumstances, they must navigate through a series of obstacles to accomplish their objective without getting caught.

"Henry's Crime" blends elements of comedy, romance, and crime drama. It explores themes of personal growth, self-discovery, and the pursuit of dreams. Ultimately, the film follows Henry as he transforms from an aimless man to someone who discovers purpose and finds redemption amid the chaos of his life.
