Crime,Drama   United States of America

In the late 1970s, Ron Stallworth (played by John David Washington) becomes the first African American detective in the Colorado Springs Police Department. Eager to make a difference, Ron starts investigating the local chapter of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK).

While researching the Klan, Ron finds an advertisement in the newspaper and decides to contact them by posing as a white supremacist. He speaks to the Klan's local leader, Walter Breachway (played by Ryan Eggold), over the phone, garnering his trust and interest in joining the group. However, Ron cannot meet with them in person due to his race, so he enlists the help of his colleague, Flip Zimmerman (played by Adam Driver), a Jewish officer, to act as Ron Stallworth for face-to-face meetings.

As Flip successfully infiltrates the Klan, Ron continues to communicate with Walter and other KKK members over the phone. The operation encounters some close calls and tense moments, as Ron's true identity is always at risk of being discovered. The investigation gains more attention, drawing the interest of a local student activist, Patrice Dumas (played by Laura Harrier), with whom Ron develops a romantic relationship.

As Ron and Flip gather more evidence and uncover the Klan's plans, they encounter various members, including the violent and aggressive Felix Kendrickson (played by Jasper Pääkkönen) and Connie Kendrickson (played by Ashlie Atkinson). The pair also come across David Duke (played by Topher Grace), the grand wizard of the KKK, who remains unaware of Ron's true identity. Ron becomes increasingly alarmed as he realizes the extent of the Klan's influence and their dangerous plans.

The tension escalates when the Klan plans an attack on an upcoming civil rights rally, which Ron and Flip work to prevent. Although the operation is ultimately successful, the dangers of confronting racism and white supremacy become painfully evident. The film concludes with the real-life footage of the 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, depicting the ongoing struggle against racism in America and the relevance of the events portrayed in the movie.
