"Il giorno in più" is a 2011 Italian comedy-drama film directed by Massimo Venier. The plot revolves around the life of Carlo (played by Fabio Volo), a successful thirty-eight-year-old man, who wakes up one day and discovers that he has been living the same day over and over again.

Carlo's life appears to be perfect on the surface. He has a well-paying job as an advertising executive, a beautiful girlfriend named Giulia (played by Isabella Ragonese), and all the material comforts he could ask for. However, he feels stuck in a routine and longs for something more in his life.

When Carlo realizes that he is reliving the same day, he initially tries to change his routine to break free from the monotony. However, no matter what he does, he wakes up each morning to find himself back at the beginning of the day.

As Carlo continues to repeat the same day, he starts to question the choices he has made in his life and the path he has followed. He begins to contemplate the meaning of his existence and the importance of love and relationships. Along the way, he meets various characters who also seem to be trapped in their own repetitive routines, including Giulia's father (played by Pietro Ragusa), a famous professor (played by Stefania Sandrelli), and a therapist (played by Roberto Citran).

Through his repetitive experiences, Carlo starts to take a closer look at his relationships and his place in the world. He begins to understand the impact of his actions on others and the importance of cherishing each moment. As he digs deeper into the greater purpose and the meaning of life, he learns valuable lessons about love, happiness, and personal growth.

"Il giorno in più" is an introspective film that delves into themes of self-discovery, personal growth, and the human desire for a meaningful existence. Through Carlo's repeated experiences, the movie explores the choices we make and the impact they have on our lives, ultimately leading to a realization that the smallest changes can have the most significant effects.
