In the movie "Trauma," the four friends, let's call them Alex, Sarah, Marcos, and Maria, decide to take a break from their busy lives and visit a peaceful rural town in Chile. Little do they know that their vacation will turn into a nightmare when they encounter a deeply disturbed man named Juan and his equally twisted son, Pedro.

One fateful night, Alex stumbles upon a disturbing secret while exploring an abandoned house in the town. He accidentally witnesses Juan and Pedro brutally torturing a helpless victim, and quickly realizes that they are responsible for a series of disappearances in the area.

Filled with fear and a sense of responsibility, Alex rushes back to the group and shares his horrifying discovery. Afraid to involve the corrupt local authorities, the friends, out of desperation, decide to take matters into their own hands. They vow to bring justice to the victims and stop Juan and Pedro from causing more harm.

As they begin investigating further, they stumble upon historical clues that lead them to believe that Juan and Pedro's actions are deeply rooted in Chile's darkest period of history – the era of Pinochet's dictatorship. With each revelation, the gravity of their mission intensifies, as they realize that they are not merely dealing with sadistic murderers, but rather with the legacy of a brutal regime that unleashed unimaginable horrors upon its citizens.

Despite the danger they face, the friends find two local policemen, Detective Raul and Officer Sofia, who are willing to help them uncover the truth and bring the criminals to justice. United by a common goal, they form an unlikely alliance and set out to confront Juan and Pedro.

However, as they dig deeper into the investigation, they realize that Juan and Pedro are more than just killers; they are deeply tangled within a network of powerful individuals who want to bury the horrors of the past. The group finds themselves trapped in a race against time, fighting not only to survive but also to expose the truth to the world.

The friends and their newfound allies are pushed to their limits as they confront the darkest aspects of Chile's history and the unimaginable evil within their adversaries. The movie Trauma becomes a heart-pounding and gut-wrenching battle for justice, raising important questions about the long-lasting impact of historical trauma and the courage it takes to confront it head-on.
