"Color Me Blood Red" is a 1965 horror film directed by H.G. Lewis. The story revolves around an eccentric and struggling artist named Adam Sorge, living in a small seaside town.

Adam's girlfriend, Gigi, is a model for his paintings but his work fails to gain recognition or sell. Frustrated, and feeling as if he has exhausted all other options, Adam decides to experiment with a new technique to create groundbreaking art. He accidentally discovers that using human blood as a medium for his paintings adds a disturbingly realistic and captivating effect.

Intrigued by the results, Adam starts sourcing blood in secret to create his art. Initially, he obtains it from his clumsy brother, who frequently injures himself. However, as his cravings for creative success intensify, Adam realizes that his brother's blood alone is not enough to fulfill his artistic desires.

Driven by desperation, Adam begins luring unsuspecting victims into his lair under the pretense of modeling for his paintings. As he captures and drains the blood of these individuals, the quality of his artwork improves exponentially. His use of real human essence gives his paintings a macabre and haunting authenticity that quickly captivates the art world.

Adam's work gains praise and recognition, and he becomes a sensation overnight. However, the dark secret behind his success begins to haunt him. As Adam's mind becomes consumed by his artistic pursuits, he starts losing touch with reality. He becomes increasingly isolated from the world, focusing only on acquiring fresh blood to maintain his creative prowess.

Eventually, Adam's dark secret is discovered by those close to him, leading to consequences far beyond his imagination. The town's locals and authorities uncover his grotesque practices, triggering a sequence of events that turn the tables on the once-celebrated artist.

"Color Me Blood Red" portrays the twisted journey of an artist who crosses moral boundaries and sacrifices everything for fame and recognition. With a heavy emphasis on gore and shocking visuals, this surreal and disturbing film explores the consequences of obsession and the fine line between art and madness.
