Comedy   United States of America

Josh Miller, a dedicated and disciplined pre-med student, arrives at college with hopes of maintaining his academic excellence. He is assigned a roommate, Cooper Frederickson, who is known for his wild partying and lack of ambition. At first, Josh tries to distance himself from Cooper's reckless lifestyle, focusing solely on his studies and ignoring the temptations around him.

However, as time passes, Cooper's magnetic personality and constant partying begin to break down Josh's resolve. Constantly surrounded by drugs, alcohol, and a carefree attitude, Josh finds it increasingly difficult to resist the allure of this newfound freedom. He starts neglecting his schoolwork, attending parties, and indulging in the same wild antics as Cooper. Their friendship becomes inseparable, and they become partners in crime, both heading towards an academic disaster.

Despite the thrill of their hedonistic escapades, their actions have serious consequences. Their grades begin to plummet, jeopardizing their dreams of pursuing successful careers. Realizing the dire situation they find themselves in, Josh and Cooper stumble across an urban legend that states if their roommate dies by suicide, they will automatically receive a 4.0 GPA for the semester as part of a school policy known as the "Dead Man's Clause."

Initially viewing this idea as a joke, the two friends soon discover that a fellow student, Cliff, desperately wants to drop out due to financial struggles. Sensing an opportunity, Josh and Cooper haphazardly attempt to push Cliff towards the brink of suicide, hoping to exploit the clause and save their academic futures.

As their reckless scheme unfolds, Josh and Cooper start experiencing an internal struggle, torn between their desire to succeed academically and their newly awakened conscience. They realize the gravity of their actions and the implications they have on someone's life, leading them to question their own moral compasses.

In their race against time to save their grades and rectify the damage they have done, Josh and Cooper embark on a journey of self-discovery and redemption. They are confronted by the consequences of their choices, the fragility of mental health, and the true essence of friendship.

Ultimately, the movie Dead Man on Campus explores themes of academic pressure, the perils of excessive partying, friendship, and the importance of individual responsibility. It serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of succumbing to outside influences and the significance of maintaining personal integrity in the face of temptation.
