In Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Claire Dearing (played by Bryce Dallas Howard), now a dinosaur rights activist, learns that the dormant volcano on the island of Isla Nublar, where Jurassic World was located, is about to erupt. The eruption threatens the existence of the remaining dinosaurs on the island. Determined to save them from an impending extinction, Claire reaches out to Owen Grady (played by Chris Pratt), the former Velociraptor trainer, for assistance.

An affluent businessman named Benjamin Lockwood (played by James Cromwell) approaches Claire with a compelling proposition. Lockwood is John Hammond's former partner and wants to save the dinosaurs on Isla Nublar from the impending volcanic disaster. Claire, Owen, and a team of mercenaries led by Ken Wheatley (played by Ted Levine) travel to the island to try and rescue as many dinosaurs as possible.

Upon arriving on the island, Claire and Owen soon discover that the mercenaries have ulterior motives. Rather than saving the dinosaurs, they plan to capture and sell them on the black market. A new, genetically modified hybrid dinosaur called the Indoraptor is introduced, which is portrayed as an even more dangerous and intelligent creation than the previous hybrid, the Indominus Rex.

As the plot unfolds, it becomes evident that Lockwood's assistant, Eli Mills (played by Rafe Spall), is the mastermind behind the scheme to capture and sell the dinosaurs. Additionally, it is revealed that Lockwood's granddaughter, Maisie (played by Isabella Sermon), has been created through genetic experimentation, using the DNA of his deceased daughter.

Claire, Owen, and a few loyal allies, including a paleo-veterinarian named Zia Rodriguez (played by Daniella Pineda) and a computer hacker named Franklin Webb (played by Justice Smith), must navigate dangerous situations to not only save the dinosaurs from the volcano but also expose the corrupt operation behind the rescue mission.

The movie takes a dark turn as the Indoraptor is unleashed, wreaking havoc at Lockwood's mansion, where the captured dinosaurs are being held. The heroes struggle to survive and prevent the Indoraptor from falling into the wrong hands. The climax sees a final confrontation between the heroes and the dangerous hybrid, culminating in a fight for their lives and the fate of the remaining dinosaurs.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ends with a dramatic twist, revealing that Maisie is actually a clone of Lockwood's deceased daughter. This revelation serves as a setup for future installments in the Jurassic Park franchise, as humanity grapples with the moral and ethical implications of cloning and playing god with nature.
