Romance,Comedy   United States of America

After George separates from his wife Helen, he enters into a relationship with Cheryl Gibbons and moves into a warehouse with her. Their unconventional living arrangement raises eyebrows in the suburban community, and they face judgment and criticism from friends and neighbors.

Meanwhile, George's teenage son Freddie is torn between his loyalty to his father and his feelings for Cheryl. He struggles to come to terms with the fact that his affair with Cheryl has caused his parents' separation. Freddie's relationship with his parents becomes strained, and he starts to rebel against his father's choices.

As George tries to adjust to his new life as a night manager at the drugstore, he befriends his co-worker, Herb, who is a recovering alcoholic. Herb becomes George's confidant and offers guidance and support during this difficult phase.

Despite their initial happiness, George and Cheryl's relationship starts to deteriorate due to their incompatible lifestyles and the disapproval they face from society. Cheryl becomes frustrated with George's detachment from his past life and his lack of ambition to improve their situation.

At the same time, George finds solace in the friendships he develops with other individuals who frequent the drugstore during the night shift. These quirky and eccentric characters gradually become his new family and support system.

Freddie, on the other hand, begins a journey of self-discovery. He starts to question his own choices and learns to differentiate between right and wrong based on his own values, not the influence of others. Along the way, he forms unexpected bonds with his mother, Helen, and gradually rebuilds his relationship with his father.

As the movie progresses, George and Cheryl's relationship continues to face challenges. They realize that their initial infatuation and escape from conventional society were not enough to sustain a long-term partnership. George eventually comes to the difficult decision that he needs to move on from Cheryl and find a way to rebuild his life.

In the end, George reconciles with his ex-wife Helen, realizing that their shared history and love for their son hold greater importance than fleeting passions. Freddie also learns valuable life lessons and grows emotionally, transforming into a more mature young adult.

All Night Long explores themes of love, loss, redemption, and the importance of personal growth. It showcases the complexities of human relationships and the resilience one needs to navigate through life's challenges.
