In the movie Gloria, Gloria is a 58-year-old divorcée who finds herself in a state of loneliness after her children have moved out of her house. Not wanting to succumb to old age and solitude, she decides to actively seek companionship by attending singles' parties.

Although Gloria initially finds excitement and temporary gratification in these encounters, she soon realizes that the casual relationships do not fill the void in her life. Despite her disappointments, Gloria remains determined and continues her search for a meaningful connection.

One night, at a singles' party, Gloria meets Rodolfo, a retired naval officer who is seven years older than her. They hit it off, and their mutual attraction sparks the hope of a potential permanent relationship.
