The movie begins with the residents of Berk excitedly preparing for the annual Snoggletog festival. The town is in high spirits, as the Vikings and dragons now live together in harmony. Hiccup and his dragon, Toothless, have become inseparable, with Hiccup using his engineering skills to create a custom-made prosthetic tail fin for Toothless to help him fly.
