In the film "Quigley Down Under," American sharpshooter Matthew Quigley responds to an ad seeking a marksman to eradicate the dingoes on Australian land baron Elliott Marston's property. Quigley, a skilled and principled rifleman, arrives in the Australian Outback to find that Marston's true intentions are to use him to eliminate the local Aboriginal population, who he considers a nuisance.

Upon learning the real motive behind Marston's request, Quigley refuses to participate in the ruthless plan and refuses to take orders from Marston's henchmen. This decision puts him at odds with Marston and leads Quigley to hit the road, seeking to escape the twisted game Marston has set in motion.

While trying to distance himself from Marston, Quigley encounters a woman named Crazy Cora, an American expatriate who is grappling with her traumatic past experiences. Cora initially mistakes Quigley for her deceased husband Roy and becomes emotionally attached to him. Together, they form an unlikely alliance as they navigate the dangerous Australian landscape while being pursued by Marston and his men.

As Quigley and Cora make their way through the rugged terrain, they encounter various challenges, including Marston's relentless pursuit. Quigley's expertise with his rifle guides them through perilous situations, allowing them to outsmart their pursuers and stay one step ahead. Along the way, Quigley also develops empathy for and begins to understand the struggles faced by the Indigenous Australians who have been wrongly targeted by Marston.

Eventually, Quigley and Cora manage to rally the local Aboriginal tribes, forming an alliance to resist Marston's oppressive rule. In a climactic confrontation, Quigley faces off against Marston, defending both himself and the Indigenous people from Marston's tyranny. Quigley's marksmanship and strategic prowess prove to be formidable, ultimately leading to Marston's defeat.

Through their journey, Quigley and Cora forge a deep bond, helping each other heal from their respective past traumas. Quigley's unwavering principles and commitment to justice, along with Cora's resilience, lead to a satisfying conclusion as they triumph over Marston and his cruelty, ultimately restoring hope and freedom to the oppressed Aboriginal community.
