"The Kill Team" is a 2019 war drama film directed by Dan Krauss. Inspired by true events, it follows the story of a young American soldier named Andrew Briggman, played by Nat Wolff, in Afghanistan who becomes disturbed by his commanding officer's behavior and faces a moral dilemma.

Briggman is a new recruit assigned to a small unit of the U.S. Army stationed in the Kandahar province of Afghanistan. He quickly realizes that his commanding officer, Sergeant Deeks, played by Alexander Skarsgård, is not the hero he initially perceived him to be. Briggman witnesses Deeks committing war crimes by killing innocent civilians and staging their deaths to appear as combat killings.

Disturbed and conflicted, Briggman struggles with reporting the illicit activities to his superiors. Unsure of whom to trust, he confides in one of his fellow soldiers, Rayburn, played by Adam Long. Rayburn, however, is loyal to Deeks and warns him about Briggman's uncertainty, leading to tensions and suspicion within the unit.

As the moral dilemma intensifies, Briggman starts documenting the atrocities committed by Deeks and his squad. He begins collecting evidence, including photographs and videos, with the intention of exposing the truth once he returns home. However, his actions do not go unnoticed, and he becomes a target within the unit.

As Briggman tries to navigate the complexities of war, loyalty, and personal integrity, he must decide whether to preserve his own life by keeping silent or risk everything to bring justice to those responsible. With mounting pressure and threats from his own comrades, Briggman faces a critical decision that will shape his future.

"The Kill Team" explores the psychological toll of war and the challenges faced by soldiers when confronted with the unethical actions of their superiors. It delves into themes of loyalty, morality, and the blurred lines between right and wrong in a battlefield environment.
