It is during one of his deliveries that he has a chance encounter with Gabrielle, a young woman who he becomes infatuated with.

In the meantime, Rosalie escapes from the Med school refrigerator, where she was awaiting dissection, and begins her treacherous journey through the city. As she navigates through the streets, sewers, and various obstacles, she reflects on her life with Naoufel and the events that led to their separation.

While on her quest, Rosalie witnesses the struggles and dangers that Naoufel faces. He is haunted by his tragic past, living in a makeshift apartment, and working a job he hates. Determined to help Naoufel fulfill his destiny, Rosalie decides to orchestrate a serendipitous encounter between him and Gabrielle, who ultimately becomes Naoufel's love interest.
