After.Life is a psychological thriller film directed by Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo. The story revolves around Anna Taylor (played by Christina Ricci), a young woman who wakes up in a funeral home after being involved in a severe car accident. She finds herself in the care of an enigmatic mortician named Eliot Deacon (played by Liam Neeson), who claims that she has passed away and that he possesses the ability to communicate with the dead.

Confused and disoriented, Anna questions her mortality and tries to convince Eliot that she is still alive. However, Eliot firmly believes that he has the gift of talking with spirits and is determined to help Anna cross over to the other side. As Anna becomes increasingly desperate to escape from the funeral home and reconnect with the world of the living, a suspenseful and eerie atmosphere is created.

Throughout the film, Anna's boyfriend Paul (played by Justin Long) grows increasingly suspicious of Anna's supposed death. He becomes obsessed with uncovering the truth and enlists the help of a skeptical psychologist, Dr. Jack Nicolette (played by Josh Charles), to investigate further. With the clock ticking, Paul desperately tries to piece together the puzzle of Anna's fate while Eliot becomes more determined to carry out his dark intentions.

As tensions rise and Anna battles her own confusion and fear, the audience is left wondering whether she is truly dead or if there is a darker secret at play. The movie skillfully explores themes of death, the afterlife, and the fine line between reality and perception, leaving the audience guessing until the final moments.

After.Life delves into the psychological aspects of life and death, blurring the lines between what is real and what may be imagined. It challenges the viewer to question their own beliefs and perceptions about mortality and the possibility of communication with the dead.
